August begins the preparation for the October Presbytery in ernest.  This Ocotober we will gather for the 84th Presbytery in Manchester, Kentucky at Greenbriar EPC.  Greenbriar is busy already making all the preparations that will give our attendees another great meeting.

The church is beginning the construction of a new community center, being built on the site of the old church fellowship building of years ago.  They are hoping to havethe building completed , or at least usable for our Presbytery.

August is also the month when the Presbytery Council meets to define the agenda for the October Presbytery.  The Council has recently been meeting by teleconference.  This has been a tremendous savings in both money (travel, lunch and snacks) and a huge savings in time for our pastors and elders who serve on the council and would have to spent considerable value time in travel.
